Acutting board is scratched and chipped. what should the food handler do

The food handler should discard the cutting board and get a new one. Cutting board should be made out of hard wood and they should be closely grained. Scratched and chipped points on the cutting board will be difficult to clean and they can harbor microbes which may be a cause of food poisoning.
