The media impact on values and belief

Many times younger minds are impacted on their beliefs because the constant social media or tv shows tell you what to think. You're scrolling through Facebook or Instagram and you see a post about an incident that happened. The poster tries to use compassion towards the cause to sway your mind as to how you think about the incident. Also the media may state directly how they feel and ask you directly to believe as they do. 

I believe the media has a great impact on ones values. It's somewhat like subliminal messages. They show all these people putting in makeup to make you feel ugly. They show all these ads for weight loss and special workouts to make you feel fat. They show cruises with smiling people to make you feel lonely. And tv shows are the exact same way. You rarely see an unhappy couple (unless it's a soap opera). The people are smiling and happy all the time, making you long to look like that person or have a life similar to theirs in hopes of an unachievable happiness (because it's nonexistent)
