Nucleus : It is responsible for controlling all the cellular activities.It carries all the genetic information for growth , development , metabolism , reproduction and behaviours.It regulates protein synthesis.It includes genetic changes and brings variation which is essential for organic evolution.Mitochondria [ power house of cell ]They help in synthesis of fatty acid and amino acid.They also regulate calcium ion concentration inside the cell.They are the site of thermogenesis [ heat generation ]Endoplasmic reticulum It acts as a cytoskeleton and gives mechanical support.It helps in lipid synthesis.It helps in glycogenolysis. It forms nuclear envelope during cell division.RibosomesThey help in synthesis of protein and hence they are called protein factories.They also store protein for a temporary time.
