Think about the health behavior you identified in the goal setting section of your Health Literacy Skills Notes to work on this semester. Explain your goal and what could potentially happen to a person’s health if they are not able to effectively demonstrate competence in each of the health skills related to that behavior? In your response, provide specific examples for ALL of the 7 health skills (accessing information, analyzing influences, interpersonal communication, decision-making, self-management, goal setting, advocacy), related to your goal. Example: Goal- To increase my exercise/activity level to 30 minutes 5 days a week.

Accessing Information will be helpful to look up half hour exercise programs and the benefits of exercise.

Analyzing Influences: My sister has been working out all throughout the recent pandemic and I will start to workout with her a few days each week.

Decision Making- I will choose which activities will be best to keep me motivated and decide which times and days will fit best in my schedule.
