Ok so Our relationship with others begins with our relationship with ourselves. The way we love ourselves, the level of self-acceptance, the level of self-worth, and our security within our identity doesn’t just play out in the voices within our heads but in our relationship. If you have low self-worth the reason you put others before you is because you believe that others are more important than you. What you may be sensing is not that you are not caring for yourself but that you believe that you are less important than others. Your thoughts turn into beliefs and beliefs turn into actions. Whatever you believe about yourself will manifest itself in your relationship. You can care for other people without caring for yourself. That is not a decision that would honor you and it will not satisfy what you may feel like you are lacking. I would urge to be patient and kind to yourself. Focus on loving and accepting yourself. Truly value who you are and accept yourself now and not who you aspire to be. Life is already going to be unkind and you need solid people on your side.
