I think the reason for falling in love is to find someone that you don't know and make a connection beyond connections.

Explanation:

Falling in love is more than heartbreak. Its literally feeling and thinking like your companion. Moving and talking like them. Breathing as one. And once you feel a disconnection with them, its almost like death itself, trying to pry you apart is almost evil.

I also think that falling in love helps with the process of love making, if you know what Im getting at here lol. It helps us keep our species alive.
