Girls: pubic hair, periods, build up of fat (hips/breast), increase in height, acne
Boys: pubic hair, height increase, wet dreams, enlargement of the testicles, the scrotum begins to thin and redden, weight gain, muscle gain

2. Myth: If a female has her period she cannot swim, run, etc. ...
Myth: Period blood is dirty
Myth: It is not normal for boys to release semen in their sleep
Myth: A female cannot get pregnant if she has sex during her period
Myth: A female who uses a tampon loses her virginity
Myth: A penis has a bone in it.

3. Puberty usually occurs in girls between the ages of 10 and 14, while in boys it generally occurs later, between the ages of 12 and 16. In some African-American girls, puberty begins earlier, at about age 9, meaning that puberty occurs from ages 9 to 14.

It settles nerves, reduces the tension.
