How long are eggs good past their expiration date? how long are eggs good past their expiration date? i have eggs here that say sell by august 27th. are they still edible?

I normally would eat/drink anything that is over 3-5 days overdue. It can get gross and you can also get sick really quick. If this is for a health class, I would put, don't eat it after the eat by date
