Radon gas;water supply from private wells,gas appliances,furnaces are the sources of radon gases in the kitchen.This gas causes cancer of the lungs when inhaled heavily.21,000  lung cancer deaths are due to this in the US per year.

Pesticides and Poisons-Rodents and other small reptiles are common in the kitchen ,because of left over foods and crumbs.Thus the need for the use of poisons. However,these may get mixed up with the food material and mistakenly consumed by man or pets.This may lead to death.

Insecticides-Due to frequent presence of crawling insects in the kitchen(cockroaches) and flying insect (house flies) this may warrant the use of insecticides. These material contain pungent chemicals which disturbs the respiratory passages causing irritations of the nasal passages,cough,sneezing and inflammation of the eyes.

Cleaning agents(of chlorine ammonia,and iodine)These are used for general cleaning of kitchen and restaurants.They are used for basins,and other materials,These material should be used with chemical resistant glove because they are corrosive to skin.When in contact with the skin they can burn the skin,they may also cause irritation of the eyes.

Fire and electric hazard-This is common because of   glitches from the uses of electrical appliances.Therefore satiety measure of the use of  fire extinguishers should be available to prevent this. Explosion from gas leakages is another source.
