It is very important to resolve stress at this stage in order to prevent the body from getting used to it. If the the body gets used to stress for a long time, it resists thus creating an elevated heart rate and blood pressure all the time. This can lead to serious condition.

Exhaustion- this happens when a person has experienced a prolonged stress and wasn't able to cope with it. The person will then feel hopeless and fatigue all the time. This can also lead to depression.
