A holistic doctor may utilize all the forms of health care, from alternative therapies to conventional medication, to treat an individual.  

Preventive medicine refers to a medical facility that was started by the ABMS or the American Board of Medical Specialties that plays an important function as it focuses on the health of the communities and the individuals residing in it. The objective of preventive medicine is to encourage well-being and health and to prevent disability, disease, and death.
