What are main symptoms of depression, and how can i tell if i may have it or not without telling anyone?

Depression affects you in different aspects. It can make you feel irritated, angry, feel like life isn't worth living, give negative outlook to a lot of things. You won't enjoy things that once gave you happiness or purpose. You won't sleep well, either oversleeping, undersleeping(insomnia), or sleeping and waking several times at night. You might feel less inclined to socialize and feel like a burden.
