According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, Nationalism is "loyalty and devotion to a nation; especially : a sense of national consciousness,  exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations." Nationalism is a feeling that people have of being loyal to and proud of their country, believing that their country is better and more important than other countries.  An example of Nationalism would be The unity of Americans and expressions of patriotic actions after the September 11, 2001 attacks.
