When continental polar air moves over a relatively warm lake, such as one of the great lakes, the air mass acquires both heat and moisture, resulting in on the land leeward of the lake?

When the cold and dry air from the polar parts moves over the Great Lakes it accumulates heat and moisture, thus changing its structure.
