What causes hawaii to have volcanoes?

Tha magma starts under the ocean and cools Down to make a mountain and then the lava makes a whole at the top so the magma can flow out of the top

Water flows along the east coast and across the western tropical pacific towards south america, while they both are directed towards that way,  el niño does not directly affect the southern flow of water along the coast.
