The Appalachian Plateau region is located where Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee meet.

Going by the map, the Appalachian Plateau Region seems to be at an intersection of three states two of which are Georgia and Alabama and a third which is to the north of both states.

Looking at the map of the southern part of the United States attached, one will see that the third state is Tennessee which is to the north of both states.

The Appalachian Plateau runs across several states from New York to Georgia but is considered a region in the state of Georgia as well.
