Analyse the impact that the increasing number of social grants may have on the unemployment rate ​

The increasing number of social grants that are being awarded by the government are having a negative impact on the nation's unemployment rate. This is so, fundamentally, because although it is obvious that humanitarianly these social grants are positive for the lives of people in need, on the other hand it relaxes them and removes the imminent need to get a job. Therefore, they tend to slow down the employment of these people, making the decrease in the unemployment rate not so evident.
