Why are the above lengths are different (i. e., 7.5 minutes of latitude ≠ 7.5 minutes of longitude)? Think: How would the measured distance between a parallel of latitude vary as you move from the Equator to the North or South Pole versus the measured distance between a meridian of longitude as you move from the Equator towards the North or South Pole.
