How would a soil that developed in a warm, wet place be different than one that developed in a hot, dry place

Soil developed in a warm, wet place will have more organisms in it. It will have more bacteria and it will be more conducive to life. Soil developed in a hot dry place makes it harder for a plant to grow and thrive there, as well as other organisms.

Early in the story when tom finds an indian skull in the woods which he kicks in temper. the devil then makes his appearance and, as tom surveys him, he notices that the devil is neither "negro" nor "indian." in fact, he has a "swarthy" complexion and is "begrimed with soot."

This is all you, but i can give you some topics that you could try. if it rained when you want to do something outdoors, it 'limits' that human activity. maybe you want to do an experiment that goes throughout the whole year and you have to have above freezing the entire year. this 'limits' your activity. i thought of those just off of the top of my head. something that gets to me that might be getting to you is you are thinking too hard about what to do. think simply, and if it is too simple, then bump it up just a little bit.
