A pollitical map focuses on boundaries between entities like countries states of counties they are generally brigther colors to easly distinguish the boundaries a phisical maps focuses on the geography of the area and will often have shaded relief to show the mountains and valleys.

The physical maps shows the physical boundaries all over the world, where the colors are used in order to describe the topography and height of the places with respect to mean sea level.

The political maps are those that shows the political boundaries between the countries, states, and districts. These boundaries are very prominent.

Both these type of maps have a common characteristic, that is they commonly use colors to show the regional as well as the political boundaries. Color is one of the main factor used here. In addition to this, the shape of the entire landmass on earth are also the same. The shape of the these landforms are not affected.
