The Ural mountain ranges are those physical features that run north to south through the western Russia and they form a convection boundary between Europe and Asia. The form an extension of 2,500 km and are approx 1,895 in elevation. Their orology has been formed due to the collusion of the eastern edge of the Laurasia supercontinent  with the continent of Kazakhstan and the intervening of the island arcs. This took place in the late Carboniferous period.
