Why might you want to use a six-figure grid reference instead of a four-figure

Hey!

Well...I would want to use a 6-figure grid reference over a 4-figure grid reference because it will give me (and others) a more precise location of something (like a postal office) on a map...

I would say that it would be in 018 616...this is more precise than 01 61

This is because the 4-figure reference is just giving the general box the thing is in but 6-figure would give us the position of it INSIDE the box and therefore the map!
