Overall, the world has extremely varied population densities. Europe is the most
densely populated continent but does not
have the highest total population. Asia is the
continent with the most people. It has more
than 60% of the world's population. Two
countries in Asia, China and India, contain over
a third of all people on the planet. The next
most populous country, the United States, only
holds about 5% of the world's population.
