It borders the "Eurasian Plate" in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. In this area, plates move away from each other due to divergent boundary. Such movements of these plates is caused by "convection currents." Such current allows the transfer of heat (mantle material) from the bottom to the surface, thereby pushing the "lithosphere." It then results to a mid-ocean ridge.
