Mountain problem: calculate the leeward temperature at sealevel
for a maritime mountain range with a peak elevation of 3km above sealevel
(ocean on windward side). assume a windward temperature of 5c. assume
maritime air is fully saturated. why do dry areas tend to be on
the lee (downwind) side of eastern coastal mountain ranges in the
