Explanation: Cryosphere is a terminology that refers to the entire frozen water on earth. It includes the ice of antarctic and arctic, ice caps, lake ice, glaciers and snows on the high mountain hills and so on.

This amount of frozen water is controlled by the amount of insolation radiation, albedo, global warming effect and the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

High amount of incoming solar radiation and high carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will lead to the rise in the global temperature thereby melting all the ice that are present on earth.

Amount of albedo also plays a significant role as it reflects the incoming solar radiation.

Global warming has become a significant problem at present, due to the emission of toxic gases into the atmosphere such as carbon, sulfur dioxide that has the capacity to increase the temperature on earth, thereby melting the existing ice. So preventive measures must be taken.
