2. Type of this coast is an emerging coast which is rising by 10 mm every year. But it is highly susceptible to erosional activities. We can call it alluvial coast as well .

New marsh grasses have been introduced to stop the problem. Mangrove trees are grown. Master plan has been developed by Louisiana State Coastal Restoration Authority to make strategy for future.
