formal ► Voulez-vous être  mon ami (masculine)/ mon amie (feminine) ?

plural ► Voulez-vous être mes amis ?

Est-ce que tu veux être mon ami(e) ?

Tu veux être mon ami(e)

Veux-tu qu'on soit ami(e) ? ("soit" subjunctive tense of "être")

it all depends is "friend" is masculine, feminine, the way you want to ask question (inversion subject/verb, or "est-ce que" , and  who you're asking ???

someone you can say "tu", someone really older and you must use the "vous de politesse" or if you're asking a group of person, as a couple (two married persons ) ;

French is not as simple as English !!
