Why doesn't emma woodhouse miss her mother very much?

Emma Woodhouse doesn't miss her mother very much because she doesn't remember much about her mother.

Emma Woodhouse is the 21-year-old main character of Jane Austen's novel Emma. She is illustrated as a handsome, clever, and rich girl, who owns a comfortable home and is characterized by a happy disposition.

She lives with her father in their home Hartfield in the English countryside near the village of Highbury. She is also described as an independent, wealthy woman.
