What dies nick mean when he says he is one of the few who were invited to gatsby's party?

Most of the people who attended Gatsby's parties just showed up or were friends of those who were invited. Most were not invited by Gatsby. I think it shows that Gatsby has an interest in Nick and values him.

Should animals be killed for meat? should we stop deforestation to keep species of animals from going extinct? should we care if certain animals go extinct?
