Mr. Raymond says that Dill won't cry when people treat each other poorly, more specifically when white people treat black people poorly. He says that Scout will eventually realize not every man is like her daddy - treating everyone equally. As they get older, they will gain a better understanding of how society functions and they'll become more tolerant of it's injustices. This then means that they will lose their innocence and see that sometimes people don't see a clear line between right and wrong.
