Ooo ooo I read Eveline! Unfortunately I haven't read The Train from Rhodesia but I'll give you a brief character description of Eveline to give you a head start. Eveline is basically someone who constantly feels like she needs to be somewhere else (specifically with her love interest on a boat headed to Buenos Aires) but is chained to where she is by her commitment to her late mother's last wishes. So I could best describe her as ambitious, uncertain, and loyal. Maybe one of those things apply to the woman in the other story. Hope this helped.
