This is a part in my biography that i am writing and i would like to know if the punctuation is correct. "he had taught thomas howard, 4th duke of norfolk when he was a child, and remained a lifelong beneficiary of norfolk's sponsorship." someone told me it should be like this "he had taught thomas howard, 4th duke of norfolk, when he was a child and remained a lifelong beneficiary of norfolk's sponsorship." which one is more accurate?
