According to Google, a drama is a play for theatre, radio, or television. It is characterized by putting on a scene in which different characters interact both with their actions and words.

An audience can learn about a character through:

The character's own words. Both in dialogues and monologues characters are able to express how they think about a situation, which allows the audience to have some insight about the character. What other characters say. Other characters' dialogues and monologues allow the audience to see how other characters perceive a given character. It is up to the audience to decide the veracity of those perceptions. The way others behave toward a character and the way the character acts. Drama doesn't limit itself to just dialogues but instead, it involves actions and many times "actions speak louder than words". Actions allow the audience to learn about a character by seeing how others interact with the given character. It allows the audience to draw conclusions about why the character acts in a certain way.

In dramas there isn't a narrator who allows the audience to learn about a character. Normally, if there is some sort of "narrator", that person would simply state general facts, like how much time has passed or announce a new location.

explanatithe story "two kinds" , revolves around a strict relationship between a mother and daughter. the mother tries very hard to make sure her daughter jing mei , is successful in life and lives up to her full potential. the story explores alot of different themes. though , there is one theme that really stands out. you cant force someone to be something that their not.

jing mei's mother was an immagrant from china. she moved to the united states to give her daughter , jing mei , a better and successful life for her. and being raised in china with their strict rules and striving to be perfect took a toll on her and her daughters relationship. she pressures her daughter to be great and perfect all the time but it gets really hard for her to live up to her mothers standards. her mother believes that jing mei can be a child prodigy and prepares her to be and act like one. furthermore , the story ends with jing mei getting everything off her chest and seeing the dissappointment in her mothers eyes as she finds out her daughter has not lived up to her full potential. and her mother has finally gained an understanding of her daughter.
