Whatis the wheel and axle?

A wheel that turns on a bar or shaft called an axle makes a simple machine that makes it easier to turn things. The bigger the wheel, the less force needed to turn it. Examples are a steering wheel on a car or truck, some kinds of water faucets, and doorknobs.
