Explain how language is much more than just a means of communication

Language is much more than communication because it also shows culture. How did they originally start it? Why is it different than ours? There are many reasons, but we don't normally look into it. Language can be communication, but it's also a way of life. Without it, we wouldn't be able to understand each other. Language is a key part of our lives to express ourselves whilst others can hear what we have to say.
