Which is an open-ended interview question

Before I answer what a "open-ended interview" is, we must first know what a traditional interview is...

A traditional interview contains a series of questions like (but not limited to):

Why do you want to work here?

What were your previous jobs prior to coming here?

These questions are the ones most employers ask when your getting a job, and normally pertain to the job itself, not anything else.

A "open-ended interview" is much different than a traditional interview.  These are questions that do not pertain to any specific topic, and are both about a job, and about the person who is doing that job.  The questions are normally not asked by employers, rather they are questions asked by individuals who may be interested in working in a job like that in the coming future.

Some of these questions are (but not limited to):

Why did you come in this field?

What was your reason on why you wanted to become a [insert job here]?

What was your motivation to get a job like this?
