For example, Anna Frank's diary is a primary source but texts written in order to explain, interpret or comment on Anna Frank's diary are considered to be secondary sources.

Another example: a Shakespearean sonnet is a primary source but texts written in order to interpret the sonnet are secondary sources.

So, options A (provide firsthand testimony and direct evidence) and C ( store original reflections and correspondence) describe primary sources. Option D (can only be found in personal collections and private libraries) is irrelevant because both primary sources and secondary ones can be found in many other places apart from personal collections and private libraries, such as public libraries, Internet, etc.
