In "ain't i a woman? ," why does truth repeat the phrase “ain’t i a woman? ” throughout the second paragraph?

I think this ties in with that fact that sojourner truth used to be a former slave. when she says "aint i a woman" repeatedly she is emphasizing that  she is a woman, one who is human and strong. that she is not the color of her skin, and she should be treated as who she is.
