Cursed.

The conservatorship was put in place in 2008 after Spears was hospitalized following a series of public incidents that raised concerns about her mental health. A Los Angeles court gave her father control over her estate and medical decisions.

She was the face of the 90's and everyone was obsessed with her. Even though she doesn't have a perfect voice. Nonetheless, her songs were hits.  I like to believe that she did something to deserve the fame she got. Like those Hollywood rumors like selling your soul to the devil etc.. Many celebs have done it and the way she became so famous instantly proves it in a way. Although, she could be a just be a normal person with a not so normal life. Hm
