Read the excerpt from "Drummer Man." It turned out to be a good thing that I signed on again. It
wasn't long into my second year when our regiment
fought at the Siege of Corinth. In the heat of the fight we
made a desperate charge across a ravine and Captain
Williamson was wounded. So the call came in for a quick
retreat, but unfortunately the captain was left there
between the lines. Somebody had to rescue him, and it
was one of two times during the war that I was happy for
being small. I took off in a stooping run, unseen by the
enemy, and somehow found the strength to drag
Williamson back to the stretcher bearers and out of
harm's way.

Based on the excerpt, how does the narrator's size
affect his experiences?

O It leads to him getting wounded.
O It helps him to get rescued.
O It leads to him being a stretcher bearer.
O It helps him save his captain.
