(WORTH 100 POINTS PLEASE HELP!!) Shakespearean Sonnet Guide Sheet
A Shakespearean sonnet is written in iambic pentameter (ten syllables that are unstressed followed by stressed syllables, five iambs). with three quatrains and a couplet and has a rhyme scheme of abab cdcd efef gg. In this assignment you are to write your own sonnet. It does not have to be about a particular topic. The subject can be about how much you hate writing sonnets!
DIRECTIONS: Each space below represents one syllable. The unstressed syllables are underlined and the stressed syllables are underlined in bold. The rhyme scheme is also provided for you. The poem has been divided for you into the quatrains and couplet.
