In this activity, you’ll analyze Mark Twain’s essay “Taming the Bicycle.” You’ll determine the author’s main purpose and other purposes for writing the text, supporting your answers with evidence from the text. Then you’ll reflect on your choice of purposes. Finally, you will analyze the author’s point of view from the purposes you identified
