Many people are looking for ways to eat healthier but have a hard time giving up sweets. Foods with excess sugar have been shown to negatively affect health. 4 However, recent research suggests that chocolate may be the exception. More research is supporting the idea that chocolate, especially dark chocolate, can have positive effects on the body.5 Of course, all foods should be consumed in moderation.
