Help with the lottery summary

I’ve read the lottery multiple times so hopefully this will help.

The lottery is a story that depicts a small villages annual lottery. The towns people gather around hoping their names aren’t picked. When Tessie Hutchinson’s is selected the entire community attacks her in order to complete the ritual for a prosperous harvest. The central idea is to not blindly follow traditions, we as a society need to examine traditions we follow and assess if we need to abandon them or modify them if they’re harmful.
