This old house might once have been queen of the prairies. Imagine her splendor when she was first built, or think of her slow decay as the years have passed. What kind of family might have lived here? Would they have been farmers, ranchers, or immigrants trying to make a better life for themselves? What might make its home here now? What might have led to the old house's abandonment? Write a description, 5-7 sentences long, in response to the prompt above. Use as many of your spelling words as you can.
