For many decades, robots have been considered harmful to people because of their appearance in books and movies. Scientists determined that most robots are not as harmful as people may think.  Robots can help humans with jobs that may be dangerous to their health by keeping them from being expose to dangerous chemicals. Humans use robots for multiple and different purposes. Robots are used at the International Space Center to assist astronauts. Scientists are using robots to help humans with disabilities and physical problems, such as, the use of an artificial leg to assist with a human’s walking mobility. Scientists classify robots as valuable helpers to humans.
