“Science data shows that over the past few years there has been an increase in swarms of jellyfish,” this may not seem like much, but since there has been an increase in jellyfish, more fisheries and fisherman are being put at risk of being affected by the jellyfish. Jellyfish are affecting fisheries own by fishermen by consuming the larvae and eggs of fish preventing the fisheries from selling anchovies. The mnemiopsis jellyfish are not only affecting fisheries but affecting different cities and people by clogging power plant systems and putting thousands of people without electricity. The jellyfish population has been increasing rapidly, and they are spreading around the world affecting many different people and places. The growing number of jellyfish swarms presents many large problems for many fisheries and cities, but there are solutions to prevent this that are already at work.
