Dear Principal Smithons, Exercise is good for a person's body. When I get home, I immediately start working on my mounds of homework. I would rather be outside playing basketball with my friends. However, I have to make homework a priority. I often don't finish my assignments until nightfall. By then, it's too late to go outside. I know that I don't get nearly enough exercise with just having P. E. three days a week. According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, regular exercise makes your muscles stronger, conditions your heart and lungs, builds strength and endurance, increases energy, relieves stress, and improves sleep. I think we can agree that students need all these benefits that come from physical activity. Schools are important in creating safe and supportive environments with rules and expectations that foster healthy behaviors. Our school can make a positive impact on the health of students by having P. E. classes every weekday so that students have the opportunity to improve their health. If most of the students are like me, they rarely have time to get outside after school to exercise. Please consider adding two more days of P. E. classes to our class schedules. Which sentences would best begin the introductory paragraph? A. At Finley Junior High, we go to physical education classes just three days a week. However, I feel that we should have P. E. classes five days a week. B. Professionals recommend that schools offer daily physical education programs. This can easily be done by increasing the hours students are at school. C. Plenty of physical activity can lower a person's risk of having health problems. Schools can teach students about healthy physical activity behaviors. D. According to my doctor, sitting all day long is not good for anyone. It is important to get out of one's chair and move around throughout the day.
