Write a description on the following topic. Imagine that you were on a ship in the middle of the ocean. What does your ship look like? How does the ocean look? What does the sky look like above you? What do you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste as you look about?

I looked out across the deck, letting splashes from the waves bounce onto my face. I looked down in awe at the white foam rushing against the ship, the waves rocking it back and forth. I turned around and hurried to the other side of the deck, my footsteps muffled against the sound of seagulls shrieking. I saw the harbor we had just parted from getting smaller and smaller as the boat swam out deeper into the ocean. I tilted my head down and noticed fish jumping in and out of the water. Their fins stood up as they manuevered around currents. I grinned, happy to be in the place I loved most. The beautiful, navy blue ocean, the house of so many plants and animals, protecting secrets buried deep into the sand.
